Rules Once again

Coming new this Saarang is KryptX, a crazy and wacky online treasure hunt open to one and all. Testing your intuition to the core, this event has no beginning and no end. Similar to the legendary Notpron, you are faced with a cascade of levels each with its own twist tougher than its predecessor. Try your hand ( & brain too :P ) at this game. The game is open to all - students looking for a new addiction and also the corporate world that is in need of a break.

EVENT FORMAT :
  • It is an online cryptic event, more like an online treasure hunt. The puzzles require some amount of lateral, out of the box thinking, pattern matching and lots of Googling.
  • The event is an individual event.
  • Participation in the event requires registration.
  • The contestants should try to proceed to the next level using clues given in the present level.
  • First person to complete all the questions will be the winner. If nobody completes all the questions in the stipulated time, then the person who completes maximum number of questions will be the winner. In case of a tie, the person who enters the maximum level of completion first will be declared the winner.
HINTS
  • Different possible clues:-
    1.page title
    2.URL
    3.pictures on the page
    4.source code
  • Different ways of proceeding to the next level :
    1. Entering the a string in the answer bar provided
    2. Changing the URL in the address bar
    3. Clicking on various objects present in the page.
  • Many of the puzzles also require looking into the source code of the webpage, and being able to identify clues, which are usually comments in the code.
  • One or more of the above processes can allow a contestant to proceed to the next level.
  • Not everything that looks like a hint may be one (We like to mess around with your head sometimes :P)
